A new, unofficial library for FlashPunk has been released.
It’s Punk.UI! Punk.UI is an UI library which allows you to create buttons, radio buttons, checkboxes, windows… a lot of UI components directly on FlashPunk. You won’t need minimalComps or another similar AS3 UI library anymore, and everything will feel more integrated to your game.
Punk.UI features a comprehensive set of UI components ready to use for your game. Furthermore, it has a complete skin system which will allow you to make the components look as you desire. It is a community project where everyone contributes to it, and it’s mainly maintained and organised by Rolpege.
The first version was released some days ago, and future versions are already being created. You can request new features here. The documentation of the project can be found here: it’s a wiki full of resources that will help you making Punk.UI usage easy as pie. Finally, you can get the stable version here: (.tar.gz, .zip), and you can take a look at the dev branch here, but be warned that it’s unstable, incomplete and could have bugs.
If you want to collaborate to the project, read this: Contribute to Punk.UI!
